Nomination forms in distribution for 2005 Triple Crown

Nomination forms for the 2005 Triple Crown races have been mailed to horsemen around the world, with a January 22 deadline approaching for early nominations.
Early nominations cost $600 each. In 2004, 434 three-year-olds were nominated in the early stage, with 14 coming in later for a total of 448.

Beginning the week of January 10, representatives of Triple Crown Productions will be at various racetracks across the country to gather nominations for the Triple Crown, which will begin on May 7 with the Kentucky Derby (G1) and also include the Preakness Stakes (G1) on May 21 and Belmont Stakes (G1) on June 11.
